Robotics at iSTEAM Studio, introduces kids to science, technology, engineering, and math. Children ages 6+ through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Kids acquire real-world problem-solving skills through a series of guided lessons. Learn all about autonomous vehicles to mission driven robotic devices.
Kids work in the team of 2 to 6 kids together to build robots and challenges. FIRST LEGO League Explore
For kids ages 6 years to 9 years (Grades 1-3):
Guided by adult coaches and FIRST® Core Values, students build models using LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 / Spike Essential and create Show Me posters to present what they learned in next 15 weeks. FLL Explore . focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.

During our 2023-2024 arts-inspired robotics season, FIRST® IN SHOWSM presented by Qualcomm, we will celebrate the roles our STEM skills play in the arts and design and build a world of endless possibilities. LEGO WeDO / Spike Essential Robotics
For kids ages 6 years to 9 years (Grades 1-3):
It’s never to late to introduce kids to coding and robotics! In this fun filled class kids will build Lego models while learning about pollination, metamorphosis and other Science principles. They will learn how gears, belts, pulleys and other mechanism works. Kids will use their imagination to create different theme based models, and move up to use motors, sensors and other electronics to bring their models to life. Kids will also learn how to program their Lego creations and Robots to do various tasks.
Kids will use LEGO WeDO and Spike Essential as they move to next level.
FIRST LEGO League Challenge
For kids ages 10 years to 14 years (Grades 4-8):
FIRST LEGO League introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to children ages 4-16* through fun, exciting hands-on learning!
Unofficial iSTEAM FLL tournament:
iSTEAM Studio will be conducting an unofficial FIRST LEGO League tournament in May . Kids will work from January 14 to May 14 in the group of 4.This is for all kids, if they have already experienced FLL or not! They can enhance their programming and robot building skills for 2022 season. By doing FLL, kids will work with one another on team-based activities and will have fun while doing so!
EV3 / Spike Prime Robotics
For kids ages 10 years to 14 years (Grades 4-8):
Bringing best in class Robotics and STEAM learning to kids – LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 and LEGO® Education SPIKE™ combined with LEGO® Technic™ elements and kids-friendly software to spark creative confidence and critical thinking. Kids will tackles subjects like engineering, coding, and physics by building and programming different robotic contraptions to accomplish various tasks.
Kids will program EV3 using EV3 Mindstorms and Spike Prime using Scratch and Python. We will introduce kids to MicroPython if they have coding background. Kids also will learn Pneumatics as well as different will be engaged in the exploration of physical science within a sports context.
